RCS BOARD TO DISCUSS DISPLAY OF TEN COMMANDMENTS

(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Community School Board meets Wednesday afternoon and, when it does, will consider a policy that will allow the displaying of the Ten Commandments at buildings across the district.  The displaying of the Ten Commandments in Richmond was a major issue 19 years ago.  That’s when the ACLU filed suit to have them removed from the lawn of the Wayne County Courthouse.  The RCS policy states that the Ten Commandments can be displayed along with other documents of historical significance that have influenced the U.S. government.
