(Richmond, IN)--Plans for a new development on National Road West in Richmond were green-lighted by Richmond Common Council Monday night. Several homes directly east of Earlham College and near Needler’s Market had been taken down recently to make room for a multi-unit development. The city’s plan commission had split 3-3 on whether or not to allow rezoning. But, Monday night, Common Council received more information and unanimously approved the project. Several people attended Monday night’s meeting to speak in favor of the development. Two spoke against it.
