NEAR-TOTAL ABORTION BAN PASSES INDIANA GOP-CONTROLLED SENATE

The special session of Indiana's state legislature has pushed a near total ban on abortions through the state Senate.  The Republican-controlled Senate passed the bill Saturday which would ban abortion at all stages of pregnancy with limited exceptions.  The bill passed 26-20 and now moves to the Republican-controlled state House for debate.  If it makes it through the House, it will go into effect September 1st.
