ONE DEAD IN RICHMOND WAREHOUSE FIRE

(Richmond, IN)--There was a fatal fire over the weekend in Richmond.  It broke out at 10 o’clock Saturday morning in a vacant warehouse in the 600 block of South J Street.  Two people were spotted inside.  Firefighters were able to get a ladder up to a window and help those two people get out.  They reported that a third person was also inside near where a roof had already collapsed.  Crews re-entered the burning warehouse, but had to retreat for their own safety.  When the fire was brought under control, the victim was found inside.  No identity has been released.  There’s no word yet on what started the fire.
