RICHMOND WOMAN SENTENCED FOR FENTANYL DISTRIBUTION

(Richmond, IN)--A 41-year-old Richmond woman is headed to federal prison for six years.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office on Thursday announced the sentence for Amber Bailey.  The FBI began investigating Bailey 2 ½ years ago when she distributed methamphetamine mixed with the deadly drug fentanyl.  Thursday’s release included a statement from the FBI that fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for adults under the age of 45.  They did not specifically tie Bailey to any fentanyl deaths.
