Larger Police Presence expected for Council Meeting

Fountain City officials have announced that the town will have additional police presence for its town council meeting tonight, after a video of a confrontation at last month’s meeting went viral. The video clip of the confrontation between resident David Oakes and Water and Sewer superintendent Charles Tice that was originally recorded by Whitewater Community Television led to harassing phone calls and threats from around the country.  Town officials held an executive session to discuss the incident and a vote will be made public at tonight's meeting.  And while disciplinary action was taken, but not made public, Tice is no longer a town employee.  The Fountain City council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight.
