WARRANTS ISSUED FOR MURDER TRIAL WITNESSES

(Richmond, IN)--The murder trial of Michael Carr should have concluded by now, but there have been numerous issues with witnesses.  Carr is accused of shooting and killing Jason Lewis outside the Genesis Apartments in Richmond nearly five years ago.  The trial got underway a couple of weeks ago.  But, according to online court documents, multiple witnesses failed to show up to court.  A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of one witness.  A contempt citation has been issued for another.  That witness was active on social media as recently as Wednesday afternoon.  According to court documents, Carr tried to hire a man to kill as many as five witnesses in the case.
