NATIONAL PEACE OFFICERS' MEMORIAL INCLUDES SEARA BURTON

(Washington, D.C.)--An empty white chair sat on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Monday in honor of fallen Richmond Police Officer Seara Burton.  That chair, along with 442 others, were a representation of all of the officers lost across the country.  It was part of the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service.  "All too often, the worst happens and we lose a hero in the line of duty.  We gather today to pay tribute and honor to the men and women who have given their last full measure of devotion to the service of others," said Patrick Yoes with the national FOP during Monday's ceremony.  Seara’s name is being permanently etched on a memorial wall in Washington.
