(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Community School Board is expected to formally approve a plan to increase the salaries of 60% of its teachers Monday afternoon. Last week the Board agreed in principle to increase the salaries of teachers with up to 15 years of experience. Starting pay increase by just over $3000 and will become $46,500 annually. More experienced teachers will get a $4000 increase. The plan reinstates a salary structure based on experience and degree status. New money set aside by the state in the General Assembly this spring will fund the increases.
