MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ARSON OF CONNERSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEMBER'S HOME

(Connersville, IN)--The Alabama man who set fire to the home of a Connersville city council member has now pled guilty to arson.  The plea now means that the federal trial for Tommy Harrison is off.  Back in late October of 2021, Harrison drove from Alabama to Connersville to set fire to the house of Tommy Williams.  The house was heavily damaged.  Williams and his family were visiting a family member out of the country at the time of the fire, but two family pets were killed.  No motive for the arson is disclosed in court documents.  Harrison now faces 20 years in prison.
