OFFICER SEARA BURTON'S ACCUSED KILLED BEING SUED FOR PIT BULL ATTACK

(Richmond, IN)--Phillip Lee faces the possibility of the death penalty in connection with the shooting and killing of RPD officer Seara Burton late last summer.  And, although it pales in comparison to the murder charge, there’s also a civil case against Lee that is working its way through the Wayne County court system.  There was a response to that case Monday.  Lee is now being sued for an incident that occurred just two weeks before Seara was shot.  A woman claims she was visiting another apartment in a building where Lee lived on North 10th when Lee’s pit bull, which was loose in the hallway, attacked her and dragged her though the hall.  Monday’s response was from the building’s owner, which is also named in the lawsuit.  The next hearing in the murder case is set for early August.
