REPORT: ONLY 6 OF 50 WAYNE COUNTY TEENS PLAN ON STAYING AFTER GRADUATION

(Wayne County, IN)--Forward Wayne County has released what they’re calling their Teen Workforce Report.  Members of that group recently spent time in all five public high schools in the county.  Students were asked questions about their thoughts on work and what would be needed to keep them in the area.  Of 50 students surveyed, only six said they would remain in Wayne County.  The other 44 said maybe or that they would not.  Some of the stated reasons students are opting to leave Wayne County include the lack of perceived opportunities, low wages, and lack of entertainment opportunities.
