(Richmond, IN)--Ground was broken Thursday on one of several economic development projects landed this year by Wayne County’s Economic Development Corporation.  Local leaders gathered at the Midwest Industrial Park to turn the first shovels of dirt on construction of a new facility for Liberation Labs.  The facility will be constructed on 36 acres as part of a $115 million project that is expected to create 45 new jobs.  Liberation Labs will use a precision fermentation process to make alternative proteins that can be used in food products such as milk.  Initial startup is scheduled for the end of next year.
