(Fayette County, IN)--There was a fatal crash in Fayette County Monday.  It happened at 1:15 Monday afternoon on State Road 44 near County Road 550 west of Connersville.  The initial investigation determined that a box truck pulled out into the path of an oncoming passenger car.  The driver of that car was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger was flown to a Level One trauma center.  The identities of those involved have not yet been released.  Investigators at the scene determined that speed was likely a contributing factor to the crash.
