(Richmond, IN)--A suspect was in the Wayne County Jail Thursday morning after a reported case of battery with injury in Richmond Wednesday night.  Officers were called to the first block of North West G Street at around 8 o’clock Wednesday night.  There, they encountered 36-year-old Brian Lane Junior.  He was charged with felony battery.  Indiana law requires that anyone arrested on a battery charge be held for at least 24 hours.  There’s no word on the condition of the alleged victim or what led to the incident.
