(Eaton, OH)--Trial was supposed to begin Monday for Eaton businessman Ernest Hatmaker on several charges involving child pornography.  But now that trial is off and Hatmaker no longer faces any child porn charges.  A plea agreement was reached Friday that resulted in the dropping of the child porn charges in exchange for a plea of no contest to possessing criminal tools.  Neither prosecutors nor the defense provided any details about what led to the plea agreement.  FBI agents originally searched Hatmaker’s home near Eaton nearly three years ago as part of a federal investigation.  Hatmaker is due back in court on May 5 for sentencing.
