One person is dead and several more are injured after a police pursuit that started in Henry County ended in a crash in Indianapolis.  Monday night the Henry County Sheriff observed a vehicle driving erratically on State Road 3 near Indiana Avenue in New Castle. When an attempt was made to stop the SUV, it fled and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued westbound on I-70 where tire deflation devices had been deployed by another agency. State Police say the pursuit ended when the SUV crashed into two vehicles at East Washington Street and  Mitthoefer on the east side of Indy.  One man was ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene and three other people inside the SUV were taken to the hospital.  The intersection was closed for more than 4 hours before the coroner arrived. A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
