(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Mayor Ron Oler issued a statement Thursday about the status of the city’s SAFE Team.  That’s an acronym that stands for Strategic and Focused Enforcement.  It was formed last fall after the dissolution of the Wayne County Drug Task Force.  Oler said that members of the SAFE team are now going through a promotional process and that the city remains dedicated to the SAFE team.  Oler added that the fight against narcotics remains as strong as ever.
