(Whitewater Valley)--There’s been a substantial drop in the unemployment rate for all Indiana counties in the Whitewater Valley.  According to numbers released by the state Monday, Wayne County’s rate dropped a full percentage point in the last month from 4.6 to 3.6 percent.  That’s the lowest Wayne County’s rate has been since December of 2023.  Union County has the lowest area rate at just 2.4%.  More than 300 Wayne County residents counted as unemployed in the last report are now working.
