(Richmond, IN)--A Richmond man was taken to the Wayne County Jail early Tuesday morning after appearing to have been on the business end of an altercation with police.  The mug shot of 29-year-old Charles Hill Junior shows a large road-rash-type wound on his cheek.  Officers came into contact will Hill at just before 1 o’clock Tuesday morning at North 9^th and C Street.  Hill was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, but also allegedly battered a public safety official.  He’s also charges with resisting arrest.  There’s no word yet on the amount of drugs that was recovered.
