(Richmond, IN)--There was a shooting late Tuesday night in Richmond.  It happened at around 11 o’clock near the intersection of North West Fifth and Peacock Road.  The male victim told police that he was outside in the area when he heard a gunshot and realized he had been shot in the stomach area.  He was taken first to Reid Health.  According to scanner traffic, a helicopter was requested to transfer him to a Level I trauma center.  The victim has a lengthy criminal history, including five felony drug cases and three felony burglary-related cases.
