(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Community Schools released a statement on Friday acknowledging the resignation of RHS boys basketball coach Billy Wright.  The statement did not provide a reason for the resignation; it only wished him well in future endeavors.  The resignation came less than 24 hours after the most recent School Board meeting, which was last Wednesday night.  That meeting included discussion of athletic renovations.  Wright told his team on Thursday that he would be stepping down.  RCS made the announcement a day later and said that a search would begin immediately.  Wright has been part of a Title IX investigation that resulted from a conflict last year over court time with girls volleyball.  RCS claimed last week that the results of the investigation have not been submitted to the school.
