Nate Smith has been ordered to stay on “strict vocal rest” through the end of June. That takes him off the stage at CMA Fest in Nashville this week. Smith is in the middle of a once-in-a-lifetime tour supporting Jason Aldean. What should have been a thrilling month for the artist has taken a turn for the worse, as he’s been struggling with vocal issues. Smith will now properly rest his voice for the first time in almost five years. The doctor’s orders don’t appear to affect his Indiana tour dates though: July 4th at the Jay County Fairgrounds and Jason Aldean’s Full Throttle Tour at Ruoff in August.
