2026 FIREWORKS AND EVENTS:

The Richmond Indiana Fire Department reminds residents to follow fireworks regulations and safety precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.

The setting off of fireworks is permitted in Richmond from June 29th through July 9th, between 5:00 p.m. and 2 hours after sunset. On July 4th, residents may set off fireworks from 10:00 a.m. until midnight.

Please be considerate of your neighbors and their pets this summer when celebrating with fireworks.

Sunday, August 30, 2026: Vets Park Annual Car Show: 

Bring your cars, trucks, hot rods, jeeps, and motorcycles to Wayne County Veterans Memorial Park and help us honor our nation's 250th birthday with your red, white, and blue patriotic displays!

September 11-13, 2026: New Paris Applefest: America 250 Themed Drone Show on Sept. 11^th & Fireworks on Sept. 12th.

Saturday, September 19, 2026: Levi Coffin Days Festival: Honoring our nation's 250th birthday while celebrating the history and spirit of our community. Fireworks at dusk.

Saturday, September 27, 2026: America 250: A Community Sings at the Reid Center: This is a concert and signalong of music celebrating America's history. Featuring choirs from IUE, RHS, Gospel Revelations, and others.
