Ashley McBryde marked a personal milestone last week. The singer-songwriter celebrated 1000 days of sobriety. She decided to get sober in 2022 but initially kept it private, not wanting to publicly commit to something she might not succeed at. Though she allows for an occasional cigarette (which, she admits, makes her “feel like garbage”), she’s mostly given up that habit, too. Add in generous amounts of therapy, healthier eating and exercise — including a new passion, boxing — and McBryde says, she’s now the happiest she's ever been.
