Bailey Zimmerman is facing multiple charges, including a felony, for allegedly trashing a hotel room in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There was a warrant issued for his arrest on Thursday. He's facing a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services, and a fourth-degree felony for criminal damage to property that is over $1,000. The incident took place on May 27th at the Sandia Resort and Casino. According to court documents, Zimmerman started the trouble around 3pm behind the resort, smoking and burning his band members with cigarettes and slamming one into a wall. About an hour later in the ampitheater he took a guitar and swung it, striking the ground twice before tripping over the stage and falling backward. Zimmerman then took two drum cymbals and threw them onto the stage before stumbling and swaying around, according to the affidavit. Police said he fell on the stage, got up and threw a microphone. He then grabbed another microphone and threw it. His bandmates tried to intervene, but he yelled at them, walked off the stage, returned and pushed one of his guitarists. At 4:44 p.m., police said Zimmerman walked to his SUV and spit at a Sandia security officer before returning to the resort. He fell several times before eventually making it back to his suite. The concert was canceled, and Zimmerman was told to leave. The next day, housekeeping found a damaged television, phone, multiple missing pieces of furniture, as well as a hole in the wall that amounted to $16,000.
Zimmerman released a statement saying he was not feeling well May 27 and “tried to power through” but was unable to “give you all the show you deserve.”
