(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Board of Public Works met Thursday afternoon and approved a contract for the installation of a Baby Box into the exterior wall of Fire Station #1.  Assistant Chief Buckler gave the Board some specifics:  "It is designed for newborns up to 30 days of age.  There is a state law that is in effect that people can surrender their children - basically without any question."  There’s no word on exactly when the Baby Box will be installed and available.
