(Richmond, IN)--A line of rain Tuesday night ended Richmond’s 16-day dry spell, but it also brought high winds that knocked out power to well over a thousand customers. Most of the Richmond outages were south of U.S. 40. RP&L issued a statement saying that they were experiencing problems with the feeds coming into two substations. At 12:20 Wednesday morning, power was fully restored. Tuesday night’s rain ended the longest dry spell that Richmond had experienced since 1999.
