RCS TO FOCUS ON IMPROVED ATTENDANCE

(Richmond, IN)--The start of the new school year is now just days away for Richmond Community School students.  This year, there’s a big focus on one issue.  Here’s RCS School Board Trustee Kristen Brunton:  "We have a huge push for attendance and thinking about students and how do we get them to school every day."  The state identifies students classified as chronically absent.  According to the latest numbers, 34% of elementary students in Richmond are chronically absent.
