(Whitewater Valley)--The housing inventory in Wayne County and across the Whitewater Valley is far below where it was a year ago. Compared to August of last year, Wayne County has 24% fewer houses on the market. That, combined with significantly higher interest rates on mortgages is pricing first-time homebuyers out of the market. Randolph County has one of the most drastic reductions in Indiana with 69% fewer homes on the market.
