(Richmond, IN)--Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire in Richmond’s Hunter’s Pointe neighborhood late Thursday afternoon.  It broke out in the 3300 block of Bishop’s Gate.  Battalion Chief Eric Holmes talked about how the fire was discovered:  "The occupants weren't home.  When they returned and opened the garage door is when they saw the fire and smoke."  It took a while to get the fire under control.  "We finally got it knocked down after about an hour and a half," Holmes explained.  No injuries were reported.  Damage was described as extensive.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
