160 FEWER WORKING IN RICHMOND TODAY THAN THIS TIME LAST YEAR

(Richmond, IN)--Last week, Kicks 96 and 101.7 The Point News reported exclusively that Wayne County’s unemployment rate has exceeded four percent for the first time in two years.  Now, here’s a look at just the city of Richmond.  Richmond’s unemployment rate has spiked this month to 4.7 percent.  In just the last month, the city has added 62 people to the list of those unemployed while simultaneously losing 40 people in the workforce.  Richmond also now has 160 fewer people working than it did at this time last year.
