OLD EATON K-MART TO BECOME NEW EATON KROGER

(Eaton, OH)--Eaton is buzzing with the news that a large new Kroger is coming.  On Monday, officials of the Cincinnati/Dayton division of Kroger – along with Reid Health and community members – gathered outside the former K-Mart building on Barron Street to make the announcement.  The new Kroger will be 72,000 square feet and will include a pharmacy and a fuel center.  Reid acquired the property four years ago and it has sat empty since.  The new Kroger will replace Eaton’s current Kroger which is much smaller and, according to many shoppers, smells.  Reid CEO Craig Kinyon said that Reid was excited to work with Kroger on the project, but details of the collaboration were not released.  The new Kroger isn't expected to open for about two years.
