DATES SET TO EXPLAIN PREBLE PROPERTY VALUE INCREASES

(Eaton, OH)--Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright has now sent letters and set a series of public meetings to help explain what could be a significant property tax increase for some.  The state requires the auditor to revalue property every three years.  In Preble County, there has been an incredible increase in property values.  In 2020, the average selling price of a home was $166,000.  By last year, it had spiked to $235,000.  That’s a 41% increase.  The first of six meetings across the county takes place on September 25 in New Paris.
