EATON CONSIDERS LARGE LAND PURCHASE BETWEEN PARKS

(Eaton, OH)--The city of Eaton is working to purchase a large tract of land.  The plan is to use about $325,000 in American Rescue Plan funds to purchase 38 acres of land between the Waterworks Park and Seven Mile Park.  The purchase would connect the two existing parks and would be, in the short term, green space.  Seven Mile Park was filled last night with hundreds of young soccer players.  There was some discussion among council members about converting the land to more athletic fields, although that has not been determined.
