(Wayne County, IN)--There is some good news in the state’s new numbers regarding child abuse and neglect in Wayne County.  In the three warm-weather months of May, June, and July, there has been a 43% drop in the number of local substantiated case of child abuse and neglect from last year to this year.  The reduction of the entire year is even more noticeable.  By this time last year, there had been 210 cases of neglect.  This year, there have been 117.
