(New Paris, OH)--One person is dead as the result of an overnight trailer fire on New Paris Pike near the state line.  The fire broke out at 10:45 Thursday night about a half-mile from the state line on the Ohio side.  First responders got word that one person was trapped inside.  Once the fire was knocked down, the victim’s body was located.  That person’s identity has not been released.  Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson said that the cause of the fire is under investigation, but scanner traffic indicated that it was intentionally set with a Be On The Lookout to law enforcement for a 2014 Buick that fled the scene.
