(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Mayor Elect Ron Oler has named his first department head.  Kyle Weatherly from the Wayne County Sheriff’s office will be the new Chief of Police.  Oler said Thursday that current chief Mike Britt would be resigning as chief effective January 2 but will retain his last merited rank of Lieutenant.  Weatherly has indicated he will bring on Adam Blanton from the Hagerstown Police Department as part of RPD.
