(Wayne County, IN)--For the third consecutive month, Wayne County’s unemployment rate is lower than it was the month before.  According to new numbers from the state, Wayne County’s unemployment rate this morning is 3.5%.  That’s down a modest tenth of a percentage point from last month.  Fayette County’s rate has increased to four-and-a-half percent.  That’s the second-highest unemployment rate in all of Indiana.  The number of people in Wayne County’s labor force has remained essentially the same from both last month and this time last year.
