(Wayne County, IN)--So far this calendar year, Wayne County has had 39 confirmed drug overdose deaths.  And, while that’s a lot, it is down substantially from recent years.  There were 48 overdose deaths in the county last year, and 65 the year before.  County officials are largely crediting easier access to free Narcan as the reason for the reduction in deaths.  Free Narcan is now available in at least ten Richmond locations, including at fire stations, the Health Department, and the Wayne County Jail.
