SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT RESPONDS TO THREAT

(New Madison, OH)--A threat that was sent to some Whitewater Valley schools along with others across the region is currently being investigated by the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force.  The threat came in the form of an email from an account claiming to be a Russian terrorist.  One of the schools that received the threat was Tri Village.  On Sunday night, Tri Village's superintendent sent a messsage to parents indicating that he and the school's resource officer had conducted a walk-through at the school out of an abundance of caution.  All Darke County schools operated normally on Monday.  The sheriff’s office said there is no evidence supporting the threats and there is no imminent danger.
