RCS ADDRESSES NEED FOR MILLIONS IN RENOVATIONS, CAPITAL PROJECTS

(Richmond, IN)--The Richmond Community School Board on Wednesday night discussed millions of dollars’ worth of capital improvement projects and renovations.  Three buildings, including Test and Dennis, are all now more than a hundred years old.  The largest single project that was identified Wednesday night was HVAC work at Dennis that carries and estimated $3.5 million price tag.  A million dollars is needed at RHS.  This is from Wednesday night:  "At RHS, the library and art room...it needs a new roof.  Every time it rains, we have trash cans in the hallways.".  At the end of next month, the Board is scheduled to discuss potential projects and maximum borrowing amounts.
