RCS TO ISSUE ID CARDS TO ALLOW PARENTS TO TRACK STUDENTS

(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Community Schools is getting set to launch something called Parent Patrol.  Among other things, it will allow parents to track exactly where their child and their child’s bus is at any given time.  RCS Superintendent Dr. Curtis Wright explained how it will work.  "When students return after winter break, we will issue ID cards.  These student ID cards will be worn on a lanyard throughout the school day and scanned as students board and exit the bus.  This will enable us to know if a child is getting off at the wrong stop or boarding the wrong bus."  Those same ID cards will also be used to distribute breakfast and lunches.
