(Richmond, IN)--Earlier this week, one Richmond woman who killed another received what amounts to a lifetime prison sentence.  45-year-old Kristy Sewell was sentenced to 48 years behind bars.  In the summer of 2019, Sewell stabbed Kirsten Holland 14 times at a home on South 5^th Street.  Holland died from the attack.  Holland was described in court documents as Sewell’s husband’s girlfriend.  Sewell said in a two-day bench trial in December that the attack was done in self-defense.  The judge disagreed.
