(Williamsburg, IN)--The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department later Tuesday released more details on the fatal motorcycle accident in Williamsburg that Kicks 96 and 101.7 The Point News reported Tuesday morning.  They say that late Monday afternoon, a couple from northern Illinois on a motorcycle on U.S. 35 was riding behind a semi pulling a flatbed trailer.   When that truck, driven by Joseph Riggs of Economy, tried to turn onto Sycamore Street, the motorcycle attempted to pass and struck the trailer.  The female rider was pronounced dead at the scene.  The investigation remains open pending toxicology results.
