(Richmond, IN)--Conditions across the Whitewater Valley are getting drier by the day, and there were three fires Tuesday associated with dry conditions.  There was a mulch fire in the 1500 block of East Main in Richmond, another one in the 4400 block of National Road East, and a grass fire on Arba Pike.  Since August 14, Richmond has officially had only 5/100 of rain.  On Wednesday, the entire Whitewater Valley is classified as abnormally dry, but a new drought map comes out Thursday.
