(Franklin County, IN)--An elderly Laurel resident has been killed in a Franklin County crash.  It happened at around 5:15 Wednesday afternoon that the intersection of State Road 1 and Rhein Road.  That’s about halfway between Blooming Grove and Brookville.  Investigators say that 81-year-old Rosa Banks was turning onto the highway when her car was struck broadside by a southbound pickup.  Banks was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger in her vehicle sustained minor injuries.  The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
