(Richmond, IN)--The city of Richmond is looking at how it can improve an intersection in the Depot District.  It’s the intersection where North D, North 6^th and 7^th and Fort Wayne Avenue all come together.  That’s the intersection with a stop light near Ullery’s Ice Cream and Little Sheba’s.  At a meeting of the Richmond Redevelopment Commission Tuesday, a couple of reasons for changes were noted.  One is a desire to better connect the Depot District to the Cardinal Greenway.  "Connecting to the Cardinal Greenway was a great idea.  It was not one that was originally part of the project, but it makes sense to connect that roughly quarter of a mile to access the great effort you're putting into the downtown," said a consultant with a firm conducting a study.  Another reason for the intersection improvement is to make it ADA compliant.  A study is expected to take about six months to complete.
