(Connersville, IN)--Cleaning and disinfection took place over the weekend at Fayette County schools after an outbreak of hand, foot, and mouth disease.  That disease typically affects children under the age of five, but it can occur at any age.  It’s a contagious viral illness with symptoms that include fever, sore throat, and mouth sores.  Fayette County schools has reported multiple cases of the ailment.
