(Richmond, IN)--Wayne County’s Board of Finance met Wednesday and is already beginning to set dates to begin the 2027 budget process.  In talking about that Wednesday, the Board’s Beth Leisure had this warning for department heads:  "Anything you can cut, you need to cut.  Don't be coming to us with a bunch more requests for employees and more money for this and that because this year is going to be way different than last year."  Department heads will complete budgets for ’27 by the end of next month.
